New York Program Highlights

The New York stop of the Shame and Addiction: Breaking the Cycle tour offers a powerful, one-day educational experience led by Deran Young, a renowned licensed therapist and founder of Black Therapists Rock. This immersive event features a dynamic lineup of guest experts and local voices addressing shame’s role in addiction and disconnection.

The day includes an opening keynote on emotional presence, clinical dialogues on trauma-informed recovery strategies, and a multidisciplinary panel exploring biopsychosocial approaches to healing.

Attendees will participate in live Q&A clinics, movement-based somatic resets, and receive access to a curated Change Makers Directory powered by KIPU to extend learning beyond the event.

This is a unique opportunity to engage in socially responsive care and collaborative learning at the heart of New York’s vibrant mental health and recovery community.

GXC ON TOUR is for healing professionals across credentials, disciplines, and experiences who are ready to expand their impact. This is for those advancing care through clinical insight, embodied practice, and a shared commitment to community transformation.
